GlobalFingerprints is the child sponsorship ministry of the Evangelical Free Church of America. We send children to school and help care for their physical, spiritual and emotional needs. All of this happens through the ministry of local churches around the world who want to see lives transformed.
Our Story
GlobalFingerprints was established in 2006 to help churches serve orphans of the AIDS epidemic in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since then, we have expanded to serve children in several countries around the globe. Our mission is to transform the most vulnerable children in the world with the fingerprint of Christ.
Child sponsorship is one of the most effective ways to help children who feel the very real effects of poverty.
How it Works
When a child is sponsored, we commit to regularly assess their spiritual, nutritional, medical, and educational needs. We then use sponsorship funds to supplement these areas accordingly. This puts children on a path to escape the cycle of poverty. Physical needs are just a portion of what we aim to support because we believe each child’s relationship with Christ is their most vital need. That’s why we commit to serving sponsored children through the ministry of a local church.
The Big Picture
Child sponsorship is just one piece of an overall strategy to plant and strengthen healthy churches around the world. In some cases, our child sponsorship program is giving church planters access to areas they could not reach otherwise.
